Diversity of Kashmir & Ladakh - 8 Nights / 9 Days

Day 01: Delhi to Srinagar flight  
Flight from to Delhi-Srinagar. Drive straight to Dal or Nagin Lake where room has been booked for your ready occupancy in the house boat. After lunch, a Sikhara ride on the Dal Lake enjoys the poetic Kashmir and its surrounding, which is a blessing from Mother Nature to the mankind. Enjoy your evening and dinner at the deck of your house board.Overnight in Srinagar.  
Day 02: Srinagar to Kargil  
Early morning drive through the Kashmir valley to Kargil via Sonamarg. Overnight in Kargil.  
Day 03: Kargil – Lamayuru – Ulleytokpo  
Post breakfast, drive up towards Lamayuru via Mulbekh. At Mulbekh visit the shrine of Maitreya, the beautiful single rocked carved statue of future Buddha. Journey move forward via namkila, the highest point of our travel between Srinagar-leh. Visit the Lamayuru monastery; enjoy the spectacular view of the moon landscape from the monastery. On arrival at Ulleytokpo, check into our camp and enjoy and relishes the gift of nature. Overnight in Ulleytokpo camp.  
DAY, 04: Ulleytokpo Alchi Leh  
Drives to leh via Alchi, paththar sahib and Spituk. Alchi is famous for its beautiful, impeccable frescos dating from 11th century. From here we drive to paththar sahib, and then visit the beautiful Spituk monastery and enjoy the thrilling view of upper Indus valley, magnetic hill, drive to your hotel in leh and enjoy your lunch. Post lunch orientation tour of leh town and drive up to Shanti stupa for the beautiful sunset view. Overnight in leh.  
DAY, 05: Leh -Hemis Thiksey- Leh  
Post breakfast we will today visit Ladakh's most famous and biggest monastic centre for "Drukpa kargyu lineage" (one of the important sect of Tibetan Buddhist). From Hemis we will drive back towards Thiksey. Thiksey is famous for its big Maitreya statue (Maitreya is considered as future Buddha by the Buddhist believer). Also famous for its beautiful architecture, from Thiksey you can enjoy fantastic view of the surrounding mountain ranges and the Indus valley. On our way back to the hotel for lunch, we will visit the sindhu Ghat. Sindhu- Indus- singhe khabab (in Tibetan) is source mother of the great Indus valley civilization. The river originates from mount Kailas in Tibet is revered by the Sindhi, Buddhist and Hindus equally. Evening walk in the Ayu village and know the culture and life of Ladakhi villager. Back to the hotel in time for dinner over night in Leh  
DAY 06 : Leh- Pangong lake-leh  
An early start to the day for our visit to Pangong Lake at a distance of 155km each way. This beautiful turquoise colored lake is worth its drive and time. it's value for your effort and money. Half of this beautiful lake is in under the Chinese occupation. The visit to the lake involve crossing of Changlha pass. Picnic lunch. Overnight in leh.  
DAY 07: Leh - Nubra (126 km) (42oom/ 5-6hrs. drive)  

After breakfast drive to Nubra valley the road to the Nubra valley goes through the highest motorable pass in the world at Khardung-la (5602m) the pass is almost permanently covered in fog and snow, On arrival in the Nubra valley Nubra means green used to be on the trading roué connecting Tibet with Turkistan, and was the navy of Turkistan which invaded it several times. Also known as the valley of flowers, Nubra has always been well cultivated and fertile, with the best climate in Ladakh, so grains and fruit, such as apples and apricots, have always been plentiful. Ninety per cent of Nubra's population is Buddhist.

Nubra's much known monastery; Samsthaling is situated on the mountainside just above sumur. This was the route taken by the trade caravans, and Panamik, the last village on this circuit, was at that time a busy centre, the last major settlement before the caravans plunged into the mountains of the Karakorum and the kun-lu. Here they invariable halted for a few days to make final preparations for getting over the mountains, or to recuperate afterwards. There would be no supplies, not even grazing for the animals, for about 12 days after Panamik, so they had to carry all their provisions for that time. The government maintained a granary to sell food grains for the men, and even for the horses. Later we visit Nubra valley sand dunes and diskit monastery for sightseeing overnight stay at the camp.

DAY 08: Nubra – leh  
After breakfast drive to leh over the Khardung-la pass. On arrival check in hotel. Rest of the evening at leisure or one can explore the beauty of leh on their own over night stay in Leh.  
DAY 09: Leh to Delhi flight  
An early transfer to airport to board flight to Delhi. It's a beautiful 55 minutes flight to Delhi. View of Himalayan mountain ranges.
